Una visita muy especial. // A very special visit.

El pasado 22 de julio recibimos en el labo a unos visitantes muy especiales: parte de la familia Alconchel, Raúl y Cris.
Cris es compañera de equipo de Bea, nuestra estudiante de doctorado protagonista de nuestra campaña Precipita. Llevan jugando juntas desde 2018 cuando el sofbol juntó sus vidas en el equipo Atlético de San Sebastián (Guipuzcoa).
Un año después, ambas ficharon por el CBS Rivas (Madrid). A pesar de que no hace mucho que se conocen, entre ellas ha crecido una bonita amistad que Bea siempre define como madre/hija y Cris lucha porque sea hermana mayor/hermana pequeña, jeje…
En poco tiempo han podido experimentar muchas vivencias juntas: infinitos viajes en coche para arriba y para abajo todos los fines de semana para acudir a la cita deportiva dominical, 2 campeonatos de europa de clubes (Holanda y República Checa), campeonas de 2 ligas y 2 copas en España (2018 y 2019), un bronce en Europa (2019), todas esas heladas -en invierno con el Cierzo- y asfixiantes -en verano, aunque con Cierzo también- tardes entrenando en el campo de beisbol y sofbol de Miralbueno en Zaragoza y una pandemia de entrenamientos por videoconferencia…
Raúl es el papá de Cris. Una persona de mundo, amable, humilde y con un gran corazón, dispuesto a poner su granito de arena en buenas causas en pro del beneficio de todos. Porfesionalmente hablando, Raúl asesora a empresas para exprimir al máximo su rendimiento y potencial. Es una persona muy proactiva y con muy buenas ideas siempre.
La familia Alcochel se ha convertido en colaboradora activa de la campaña Precipita -y no sólo económicamente- desde el primer día y el pasado miércoles Cris y Raúl nos vinieron a visitar al labo. Les hicimos un tour por la unidad y les explicamos en qué consiste nuestro día a día y cómo trabajamos. Estuvimos charlando de por qué nos hemos visto en la necesidad de lanzar una campaña de micromecenazgo y Raúl nos aportó consejo profesional y muy buenas ideas para potenciarla.
Al terminar la visita, les hicimos entrega de su certificado de donación y nos sacamos esta maravillosa foto de familia. ¡Gracias, chicos, por tanto apoyo!

On July 22nd, we received very special visitors in the lab: part of the Alconchel family, Raúl and Cris.
Cris and Bea, our PhD student and current star of our crowdfunding campaing at Precipita, are team mates. They play together since 2018, when softball joined their lives on the team Atlético de San Sebastián (Guipuzcoa).
A year later, both of them signed for the team CBS Rivas (Madrid). Even if they hadn´t known each other for such a long time, a nice friendship has grown between them. Bea always define their relationship as a mother/daughter one, but Cris would rather like that people consider it as older and younger sister relationship, hehe…
In a short time, they have experienced a lot together: countless car trips coming and going every weekend to attend their common sunday sports event, two European Championships with their clubs (Holland and Czech Republic), winning two National Leagues and two Spanish Cups (2018 and 2019), a bronze in Europe (2019), all those freezing -in winter, with the Cierzo wind blowing – or suffocating -in summer, always with the Cierzo blowing- afternoons training in the Miralbueno Zaragoza sofball and baseball club, and a pandemic full of online trainings…
Raúl is Cris´ dad. A kind, humble, big-hearted person, always willing to collaborate in good causes benefiting everyone. Professionally, Raúl is a business consultant, helping companies to maximize their performance and exploit their true potential. He is a very proactive person, always full of great ideas.
The Alconchel family has become an active collaborator -and not only economically- of our campaing from the beginning, and last Wednesday Cris and Raúl visited us in the lab. We did a tour of the unit, and we explained to them what our dayly life looks like and the way we work. We talked about why and how we embarked ourselves in this crowdfunding campaing, and Raúl offered us some professional advice and excellent ideas to potentiate it.
By the end of their visit, we offered them a donor certificate and took this wonderful family photo. Thank you for all your support!
